Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and WERKSBERNA Ventures Ltd (company number 17184230, registered in England and Wales) covering your use of the BERNi app. By creating an account you accept them. The plain English summary: use the app normally, your content stays yours, subscriptions are handled by Apple and cancellable any time, and we will always be reachable at contact@werksberna.com.
The app and your licence
BERNi is a trip planning and packing app. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store terms. You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, and not to use it unlawfully or in a way that disrupts the service for others.
Your account
You need an account to use BERNi. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your content
The trips, items, notes and photos you add remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and display that content back to you, which is the entire purpose of the app. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
BERNi Pro subscription
- BERNi Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (currently £4.99 per month) unlocking premium features such as item photos.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings (App Store, Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change; Apple will notify you in advance and renewal at a new price requires whatever consent Apple's process specifies. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.
Weather and travel information
Weather shown in BERNi comes from third-party forecast data and is provided for planning convenience only. Forecasts can be wrong. Always use your own judgement when making travel decisions; we are not responsible for outcomes based on forecast data.
Service and liability
We work hard to keep BERNi reliable, but it is provided "as is" and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending or changing things
We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and continued use after changes means acceptance. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you hold where you live.
